african plantlife on the Bramleigh Manor estate is very diverse and extensive, and
many photos in the Elsa Pooley field guide books were taken here by Lal Greene.
Large yellowwood trees and other indigenous trees grow here in their natural
habitat. A large number of trees are marked according to the South African
treelist numbering system. Many butterflies, abundant bird life, a real
paradise for eco-lovers, one of eco-tourism's best kept secrets, artists and

<p>Wir zuechten seit einem Jahr Ngunirinder. Nguni ist eine einheimische
Rindersorte, welche von den Zulus erhalten wurde, als weisse Siedler die Rasse
vernichten wollte. Die Rasse ist sehr genuegsam, ausserst resistent gegen
afrikanische Krankheitserreger, besitzt einen ausgesprochenen Herdeninstinkt,
und erzeugt wunderbare Felle, welche fuer viele Anwendungen sehr gefragt sind. </p>

<h1>Welcome to Bramleigh Manor</h1>
<p>Bramleigh Manor is a small, owner-run Country Guesthouse/ B&B
near the village of Nottingham Road in the Natal Midlands (Kwazulu Natal). </p>
<p>It is on a 200 hectare eco-estate and is surrounded
by the outskirts of the Drakensberg Mountains at an altitude of 1500m. </p>
<p>We are about a 4,5 hours drive from Johannesburg
and about 1,5 hours drive from Durban,
only 20 min from the N3 offramp to Nottingham Road. </p>
<p>We are very much off the beaten track, with a very quiet, peaceful
and tranquil environment amidst authentic indigenous forest and natural
surroundings.
It is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle, with birds, Samango
monkeys,
bushbuck and Nguni cattle providing the background sound. </p>
<p>The thatched manor house has two private, luxury suites with own entrances,
kitchenettes, lounge area and patios overlooking the extensive,
wonderful garden and the indigenous forest. </p>
<p>There are also three thatched en-suite rondavel-style rooms
away from the main house with spectacular views. </p>

<h3>Midlands Meander Route </h3>
<p>A free brochure provided in your room will guide you to the different arts
and crafts of the Midlands. Visit our local artists and enjoy traveling through
the country side. Further information about the meander can be found on their

<h3><span class=spelle>Sani</span> Pass</h3>
<p>This is a good daytrip from Bramleigh Manor but you need a 4x4 to be able to
get up Sani Pass. Just the 70 km from Bramleigh to Himeville/ Underberg prove
to be a very scenic drive mainly dirt road though.</p>
<p>Remember to bring your passports as you will be crossing into Lesotho.</p>
<p>There is always the option of booking a tour which will take tourists up
Sani Pass in their Land Rovers. Quad bikes/ off-road bikes can also be booked
in Himeville to take you up Sani Pass.</p>
<h3><span class=spelle>Loteni</span> game reserve, <span class=spelle>Kamberg</span>
game reserve </h3>
<p>Bushman's paintings can be found in the Kamberg game reserve and both
reserves are a lovely outing for the day.</p>

<p>From the N3 highway, take the Nottingham Road off ramp. </p>
<p>Turn right at the top towards Nottingham Road. </p>
<p>Pass The Junction on your left and turn right under the railway bridge. </p>
<p>Drive through the village. </p>
<p>Turn left at the Police Station towards Sani Pass, Himeville. </p>
<p>Drive on this tar road for 17km. Turn left on the D544 (dirt road). </p>

Samangoaffen-Rufe und einheimische Ngunikuehe sowie anderes Kleinwild hoeren

<p>Das Grasdach-bedeckte Landhaus hat zwei gut ausgestattete Apartements mit
eigenem Eingang, Wohnzimmer, Kueche sowie Badezimmer. Von der eigenen Terasse
geniessen Sie den Blick den gepflegten Park und einheimischen Urwald.</p>
<p>Drei weitere separate Zimmer im traditionellem Rondavel-stil gebaut, haben
eine traumhaften Blick auf Urwald und Berge. Alle Zimmer haben Kuehlschrank,
Tee/Kaffee frei Haus, Kamin/Holzofen und werden taeglich gereinigt.</p>
<p>Ein herzhaftes Fruehstueck, sowie Mittag- und Abendessen werden auf Wunsch
serviert.</p>
<p>Auf Wunsch servieren wir im Wald ein exklusives, romantisches Fruehstueck
(wetterabhaengig). </p>
<p>Hier koennen Sie Voegel beobachten: Narina Trogon, Kampfadler, Schmuckzwergralle
und Paradieskranich sind einige der selteneren Sorten welche hier vorkommen.

<h3>Sani Pass</h3>
<p>Von Bramleigh Manor aus eine gute Tagestour.
Sehr schöne landschafliche Strecke auf einer Sandstrasse bis nach Himeville.
Die Regenzeit muss allerdings beachtet werden!
Reisepass nicht vergessen, da man nach Lesotho einreist. </p>
<p>Es sind nur Allrad-Fahrzeug auf den Sani Pass zugelassen.
Es werden allerdings auch organisierte Touren angeboten (in Unimogs), falls man
nicht das geeeigete Fahrzeug dafür hat.
Ausserdem gibt es die Moeglichkeit Quad bikes / Motorrädern zum selberfahren zu
mieten, um so den Pass zu erkunden. </p>

<p>Von der N3 Autobahn kommend, fährt man bei dem Nottingham Rd Ausfahrtschild
ab.</p>
<p>Beim Stop rechts in Richtung Nottingham Rd. ( ungefähr 8 km bis zum Dorf).</p>
<p>Fahren Sie an "the Junction" vorbei und biegen Sie nach rechts ab
unter der Eisenbahnbrucke durch. </p>
<p>Richtung R103, Rosetta. </p>
<p>Fahren sie weiterhin durch das Dorf bis zum Schild "Lower Loteni"
( Richtung Himeville/ Sani Pass) nach links.
Man sieht auf der gegenueber liegenden Seite die Polizei Station. </p>
<p>In Richtung "Lower Loteni" fuer 17 km weiter fahren (Teer
Strasse).</p>
<p>Achten Sie auf ein Schild D544 nach links.</p>
<p>Biegen Sie in die D544, es ist eine Sandstrasse. </p>
<p>Noch 4 km und dann sehen Sie das Schild " Bramleigh Manor" nach
links. </p>
<p>Biegen Sie dort ein und fahren Sie bis sie direkt zum Manor Haus kommen.</p>
